After 4 months of waiting, I finally received the Liberator.
To begin with, this prop was ordered on the 27th of May, and I finally received it on the 17th of September.
While checking with the support on the 23 of July, I was promised to have it delivered before the 2 of September, the date when I was supposed to head to a convention with it. They had issues with their transport, and I did not receive it in time. It happens, but it's still a bit annoying.
Following up on the reception, I'm quite devastated to notice that the box with the prop received quite a lot of damage while being transported, the charging handle of the prop being completely broken. The more than advanced packaging sadly did not protect it enough from the local delivery service.
However, what I found disappointing is the model is barely acceptable in terms of quality compared to what was shown/said on the website:
-"robust ABS plastic": Sure, I will not include the broken charging handle.
-"magnetically locking magazine": barely holds the magazine; don't jump or run too much, or it will fall by itself.
-"semi-transparent PETG scope lenses" = Mine did not have lenses at all; it was at the bottom of the box with no trace of glue on it.
-"Rubber coated stock" = True!
"10 white LED high-powered flashlight integrated." = True as well!
"Premium Molotow Premium and Tamiya metallic paints" = The painting job is questionable. The replica is not even painted the same as the image on the website, as well as having a LOT of pouring paint everywhere. I don't mind seeing it up close, but it's noticeable even from a medium distance.
-"replicating the intricate designs and mechanics of its in-game counterpart." = It is, a 1:1 version of the in-game gun, true too.
-"Equipped with a functional trigger": That is loose. Tilt the replica forward or backward; the trigger moves freely. Kind of sad.
-"Includes a 10 mm diameter galvanized steel." It's not broken yet, so I suppose!
-"Handpainted Helldivers skulls and gold trimming": Again, the painting is average, and the gold is yellow, basic, and not well painted.
P.S: The optics are NOT locked in one place; they move freely on the rail. A magnet could have been added at least...
Was I expecting a better job from propsandpixels? Maybe.
Will I buy again from them? Not really.
Would I recommend this replica? If you're ready to fix some stuff, I guess yes.
Overall, yeah, okay, but not okay at the same time.
