A fresh chapter in the Alien saga means fresh hardware, and the F44AA is the first pulse-rifle silhouette we’ve seen in thirty years that feels truly new. 

Each rifle ships out of our Perth workshop as a finished art object, already blocked-sand smooth, sealed in automotive urethanes, and colour-matched to the stark “Weyland Arctic” livery glimpsed in the teaser trailer. You lift it out of the crate and it just is the movie prop—no touch-ups, no tinkering, no last-minute “anyone got silver Rub’n’Buff?” panic before the con.

Stand-out build highlights

• Industrial-grade skeleton — multi-wall ABS shells, SLA-resin detail parts and laser-cut acrylic plates all fused with Soudal 135623 two-part mitre CA (instant grab, 60-second cure) and pinned with brass heat-sets.
• Zero-fatigue carry weight — the finished piece tips the scale at ~1.3 kg; light enough for an all-day patrol.
• Sub-surface hero finish — every surface is filler-primed, block-sand flat and sprayed in a filtered booth; the two-pack matte clear shrugs off fingerprints and UV fade.
• Convention-safe design — built as a single, static housing with a posing-friendly trigger and pump (no live electronics or moving internals), plus a removable orange muzzle plug for weapons check.
• Screen-accurate detailing — dummy ammo-counter bezel, bored-out cooling vents and recessed sling points lifted 1-to-1 from production photography.

Our full paint recipe

• In-house two-pack urethane filler-primer that erases print lines and never shrinks.
• Mr Hobby GX-2 gloss black tie-coat for depth.
• “Weyland Arctic #04-W” main coat — Molotow Premium Signal White nudged 4 % toward Neutral Grey 5, air-brushed at 18 psi to hit the studio Pantone within ±ΔE 1.2.
• Danger stripes laid in Krylon Banner Red over a white sealer so the colour reads true under both LEDs and tungsten.
• Grip panels and vent blacks in Createx Wicked Black (reduced 10 % so it flexes, not chips).
• Grime pass of Tamiya Smoke and Payne’s Grey ink for Colonial-Marines soot.
• Alclad II “Steel” accents, hand-burnished with 0000 wire wool.
• Spray Chief UHS matte polyurethane clear — UV-stable, non-yellowing; pencil hardness > 3H, adhesion 5B, heat-tolerant to 90 °C.
